Fjord Kayaking

Paddling a kayak beneath really steep mountainsides with cascading waterfalls is a unique way to experience nature. The kayak companies offer exciting guided trips for both beginners and experienced kayakers.

On this trip we take you kayaking on the fjord water in stable sea kayaks that are easy to paddle. Your guide will instruct you in the basics of sea kayak paddling and safety, and then lead you out on the water to paddle along the rugged shoreline. We also venture toward the centre of the fjord to witness the grandeur of the water and majesty of the mountains and waterfalls. If the timing is right, you may cross paths with a pod of the fjord’s harbor porpoises or a colony of seals.
